I grew up in Southern Alberta in the windy wonderland of Pincher Creek.  I drove two hours north to get my BSc in chemistry from the University of Calgary, before coming three hours closer to my life-long goal of meeting Santa Claus by travelling to Edmonton to start graduate studies here.  The only logical next-step in my professional future is a post-doctoral position at Nunavut Arctic College.  Between receiving my degree from the U of C and starting work with the Buriak group, I spent a year teaching English in Cheonan, South Korea.  Particular passions include hiking, music, biking and old video games.
