Originally from Palestine, I was born and raised in the sunny deserts of Saudi Arabia (i.e. boiling hot) and recently moved to the “tundra” (i.e. freezing cold) to join a group full of super nice people with lots of positive energy and to do some great science. I received my B.Eng (Imperial College) and M.Sc. (KAUST), both majoring in Materials Science and Engineering. I worked in industry (SABIC) and have now moved out of my comfort zone to continue a Ph.D. in Chemistry. My technical background is focused on polymer blends and nanocomposites for high charge storage capacitors and organic memory, but you can just call me a device guy. Science on the side, I mainly enjoy spending valuable time with my wife and 2 kids.
